Privacy

LoopLab is built by one person and is not in the business of collecting anything. There is no analytics, no advertising network, and no tracking of any kind on this site.

If you never sign in

Nothing about you reaches the server. Loops you save live in your own browser's storage and never leave the device. Share links carry the video, the timestamps and, if you write one, your message and name, all in the link itself, which means they are visible to anyone you send the link to and to nobody else.

The one outbound request is to YouTube, to fetch the video title and thumbnail so a shared link previews properly in chat apps. YouTube sees that request, not you.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is optional and only exists so your saved loops follow you between devices.

Google gives LoopLab three things, and only these:

Your saved loops are stored against that identifier. That is the entire contents of an account: a name, a picture, an identifier, an email, and a list of loops.

LoopLab never sees your Google password, and asks for no access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or anything else.

Feedback

If you send feedback, the message is stored, along with a screenshot if you attach one, and the contact detail if you choose to give one. Your country and browser version are recorded with it, because a bug report is much easier to act on with them. Nothing else.

Cookies

One, and only after you sign in: a session cookie so the site remembers you between visits. It holds a random identifier and nothing else. No advertising or tracking cookies are set, ever.

Deleting your data

Signing out ends the session immediately. To have the account and its loops deleted entirely, send a message and say so. It will be removed, and you do not have to explain why.

Loops stored only in your browser are cleared by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Changes

If this ever changes materially, the change will be described here rather than quietly applied.
