Terms

LoopLab is made and run by one person. These terms are short because the service is small, and they are written plainly because nobody reads the other kind.

What the service does

It plays a section of a YouTube video on repeat, and turns that into a link you can send. Playback happens through YouTube's own embedded player, so ads still run and the creator is still paid. LoopLab never downloads, copies or stores any video or audio.

Share cards, and what you may not put on one

You can attach a short message to a loop, and optionally your own picture, which become a preview image. That image is stored so chat apps can display it, and is reachable by anyone who has the link.

You must not upload or create a card containing:

You keep the rights to whatever you upload. You give LoopLab only what it needs to show your card to the people you send it to, nothing more, and nothing that permits selling it or using it to promote anything.

Getting something taken down

Report a card and it will be reviewed. If it breaks the rules above, or you are the person in the image and you did not agree to it, it comes down.

Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days. Content subject to a valid court or government order is removed within 36 hours.

As required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021:

No promises about uptime

This is a free service run by a student. It may break, change, or go away. Do not rely on it for anything that matters, and keep your own copy of anything you care about.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the change will be described here rather than quietly applied.
